Adrian Micallef is a 24 year-old registered physiotherapist. He graduated from the University of Malta with a First Class BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree in 2019.
During his student years, Adrian underwent part of his clinical training at Trinity College, Dublin and undertook a three-year long internship in private practice, during which he gained substantial experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological rehabilitation and sports physiotherapy.
During this time, he also assisted in service audits of the physiotherapy service at the Emergency Department, Mater Dei Hospital and carried out research concerning the said service, as part of his undergraduate dissertation, the results of which helped guide policy change and service improvement.
Alongside his work at in private practice, he currently serves as the physiotherapist for the MFA BOV First Division team Swieqi United Football Club, and oversees the rehabilitation and coordination of the physiotherapy services at the Club.
Furthermore, he aids in the continued expansion of the services offered at PhysioPoint and aims to further his studies and certifications to offer clients continued excellence in physiotherapy care.
In his free time, Adrian enjoys engaging in promoting physiotherapy, having been a committee member in the Malta Association of Physiotherapists Future Network sub-committee. He also enjoys physical fitness workouts, swimming, strength and conditioning exercise, voluntary work, travel and has an interest in the culinary arts.
